Defense Minister Yoav Gallant following an assessment on the Gaza border, near Rafah, says more troops will be deployed to the city in the southern Gaza Strip as the military presses on with an operation against Hamas there.

The Commando Brigade joined the 162nd Division in southern Gaza's Rafah overnight, as the Israeli government is expected to approve widening the offensive there.

Since the start of the Rafah op, I've observed an increase in attacks against Israel by Palestinian armed groups in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon, and Iraqi militia groups. I suspect this trend will continue and likely become worse if Israel launches a full invasion of Rafah.
