The federal government says the aim of the changes, included in its so-called omnibus budget implementation bill, is to streamline the review process for major economic projects.
When broken down by province, Quebec, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island all saw jobs increases.
